Madelyne is my little bookworm. It is a quality I admire in an individual, especially a seven-year-old.

She was prodded repeatedly to “put down the book and join the conversation,” but she ignored all requests and kept her nose buried between the pages. After all, Dad had “no idea” how great this part of the book was.

    i love it! just yesterday i was busted with a book on my lap at work. but it was a good bit, and my lunch hour had just ended :)

    I was totally like that as a kid. I remember skipping fourth of July fireworks to finish reading the Pelican Brief. Ha!

  4. When I was her age I was like that too. That was how I learned devoring my school’s library!
