When I sat on that plane to LAX, muscling my way through Night at the Museum II: The Legend of Curley’s Gold, I knew this trip home had a lot waiting for me. I just had no idea what that meant.
What that meant was “full.” Seam-splitting, belly-bursting, high-fiving, midnight diner-ing, big smiling, cartwheeling, cherry pie eating, cute baby snuggling, train-riding, rekindling, Laugh-Out-Louding, jet-setting, photoboothing, golden sunlight, misty autumn, biscuits and gravy full. Past-erasing, future-forgetting, present moment full. The very best kind. The kind that sent me kicking and screaming to my return flight. The kind that makes it hard to find the words to say just how happy the happy has been.
But I do still have some un-sent love letters to the people and places I visited, as well as a few exciting new tricks up my sleeve. If you stick around, I promise you’ll find those things here.
baby, i’ll stick with you forever.
You forgot capoeira-ing. I’m sure that was an accidental oversight?
That is your favorite shirt! And also I love you!

You done did it right, girl.
Yes, I typed “girl”.
