A few favorite things during my first week:
Bicycles
Mornings on the patio
Miso baked halibut with genmai and seaweed soup for lunch ($8)
Powerpoint
(Actually, no. But it owns me. OWNS ME!)
The vast selection of convenience store puddings and custards
French shows on Japanese TV (the only ones I understand)
The flower shop around the corner
Walking to work
The curtains over restaurant doorways
The attention to detail for everything
you know, that halibut sounds like it more than makes up for the hours of powerpoint.
brian might be onto something there.
i’ll take a small ayurveda tea please.
Hi, I came over to your blog from the blue hour and I just wanted to say how much I love your Japan photos! I lived and worked there myself for 2 years and your photos make me so nostalgic for all the things I loved there. You have really captured the atmosphere of the place so well. I look forward to seeing more!
Loving these postings… as you know Japan is one of my most favorite. Head to one of the macrobiotic places… amazing!
woohoo! i love a few favourites.
