The Perfect Sunday
A Report by Stephanie Cornell
Early morning run along the river to Okkervill River and Bon Iver
Old men gathered in clusters playing MahJongg and Dominoes
Small pig-tailed children bowing and waving “annyong” on the street
Sweet, fragrant lilacs bursting everywhere
Stumbling on the garden of a shrine, in full bloom
Stumbling on yet another amazing pocket of my neighborhood, as if walking right into Japan
An afternoon at The Sand, with doors wide open, good music, iced espresso and Molly’s amazing book (Thank you, Hannah, times a million)
Discovering the photos Hannah stuffed in the book (sneaky)
Oh, and these yellow shoes
At first, I only saw the photo and the title of the post. Perfect Sunday, enough said. Only then I noticed there was more to your day, as if the yellow shoes weren’t enough. Perfect Sunday, indeed.
Oh MAMA.
Lilacs and yellow shoes? Lord help me now.
i’d like those shoes.
and oh yes, that book is perfect! (so is hannah)
