Red Seoul

There is a Lomo shop not far from my apartment, and on my birthday, I was gifted with a pack of RedScale Negative film. Thank you, Bill.
Shooting RedScale, from what I can assess, is mostly an exercise in giving all of your subjects the warm glow of a nuclear holocaust.

These are from my first roll taken over Seollal (that’s Lunar New Year to you).

I don’t know what I want to say first. That I love these photos and they had to be taken with this crazy-ass filum and only this, because they’re just right, the way they are. That the red glow is cinematic and other-worldly. That I too want to shoot with this filum. Or that I want to live somewhere with a Lomo shop and where the streets are paved with cameras.

    ohh, i like these.
even though they make me feel like i’m a character from nevil shute’s horrifying novel, “on the beach.”

If only they’d make that film in 120.
